Dr. Steve Woodley
Dr. Steve Woodley is an experienced practitioner of Chinese medicine, a teacher and researcher. His research interests are as diverse as the history, philosophy, practical techniques and molecular mechanisms of traditional medical practices. Starting with a degree in anthropology, he later developed into a practitioner and then a researcher, investigating metabolomic responses to herbs, and how this can be used to evaluate the quality and potency of herbs to detect subtle forms of adulteration. He is particularly intrigued when these areas converge and modern science helps us to understand why traditional medical practices are useful for us today.
